President’s Message:
Dearest Ladies,
Our December Luncheon was beautiful to say the least. Everyone looked so festive in their Holiday attire. Clothes To Kids benefitted greatly from our generosity and love for the kiddos that they help. The International Chorale was very entertaining and often humorous too.
I wish all of you the Happiest of Holidays and a Prosperous, Healthy New Year. If you are traveling, do so safely. If you are enjoying family and friends here at home, enjoy each other’s company and remember, don’t waste a minute of time spent
with family and friends.
See you all next year!
With much love and respect,
Joan Landreth, IEWC President
Program Chair—January Luncheon—Our speaker for January is Michael Delk, AICP, ICMA-CM. He presently serves as Assistant City Manager for the City of Clearwater. Prior to moving to the City Manager’s office in 2018, Michael served as Clearwater’s Planning and Development Director since 2005. Michael has a Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Central Florida in Orlando and a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri.
Michael is responsible for the development and completion of Imagine Clearwater. He will be updating us on all the exciting details involving Imagine Clearwater which is planned to open in the Summer of 2023. There will be a question-and-answer session following his presentation.
From Your Fundraising Chairs
Thanks for supporting Clothes To Kids. Your generosity resulted in over $3,581 and a lot of clothing so that low-income and in-crisis school-aged children can receive wardrobes free of charge.
We so appreciate the donations of new clothing:
For Boys, we received 46 shirts, 18 shorts, 11 pants, 45 pairs of socks, 23 pairs of underwear and 5 pajamas. For Girls, we received 35 tops, 6 pants, 5 shorts, 34 pairs of socks, 24 pair of underwear and 2 pairs of shoes. Those will go a long way in helping provide wardrobes for the children CTK serves. Thanks again from the Club and the children.
Now we turn our attention to our Scholarship Fundraiser. We will be looking for donations from Clearwater businesses to help us raise money at our “Spring Fling” Fundraiser on March 21st. Mark your calendars for this exciting event on March 21st at the beautiful Belleair Country Club, featuring a Fashion Show from Chico’s; Silent Auction, Pick-A-Prize and Tree Raffle. More information to follow soon. If you want to volunteer to help us with this event, please contact Patti Jucha at pattijucha@yahoo.com or 661-477-1741.
