The IEWC Women’s Club welcomes all women of Island Estates and the surrounding area. We are a women's social club interested in enriching the lives of our members. We plan monthly activities, including luncheons at local venues with programs and speakers of interest, a bowling league, three community-focused fund raisers, field trips, monthly happy hours and an annual cruise!  Membership is open to all women.  Residence in Island Estates is not required.

The Island Estates Women’s Club was founded in 1961 to bring women together in a social setting to foster Cooperation, Congeniality and Companionship. The mission of the club is to stimulate knowledge and interest covering a variety of subjects and activities and to promote friendship, service and unity within our club.

Community Support

Over the years, The Island Estates Woman’s Club has proudly supported three local organizations, the Pinellas Mammography Voucher Program, Clothes To Kids and our Charitable Trust Scholarship program providing scholarships to deserving girls graduating from Clearwater High School.  Annual fundraisers are held to support these organizations.

Activities & Events

The Island Estate Women’s Club offers members a wide variety of stimulating programs and activities to participate in throughout the year.  Members are always welcome to invite friends, family and neighbors to join them.

  • Monthly luncheons are a mainstay of our club.  Luncheons are held from September thru May at local venues and provide interesting speakers and entertainment. Most luncheons are on the third Tuesday of the month.  They start at 11:00 AM with a for social hour, Lunch begins at 11:45 AM, followed by a speaker or entertainment.

  • Fundraisers are conducted at our scheduled luncheons in October, December and March.   In October we dress in pink to raise funds for the Pinellas Voucher Program, a clothing drive for Clothes To Kids is included in our Holiday celebration and a Fashion show is held in March to support our scholarship program.

  • Field Trips provide another opportunity to socialize and meet other members.  Past trips have included: Tampa Bay Downs, Trolley Trips, Food Tours and Theater Shows.

  • “5 O’clock Somewhere” is our monthly happy hour at local establishments.  It’s a casual gathering to mingle and have fun.

  • Bowling – Our Bowling league is held each Monday at 10:00 AM from September through April.  This is a friendly gathering and everyone supports each bowler.  All IEWC members are welcome, from first time bowlers and those  who haven’t played in years to great bowlers.
